Collectormania 12 - Andrew Tiernan (300) and Jack Sparrow!!!

Today I went down to Milton Keynes to the autograph convention and I set out to meet Andrew Tiernan (Ephialtes in 300, Szalas in the Pianist)...

The day started pretty slowly with my mum and I looking round at the stalls buying some things. We went to grab a coffee in Costa when I saw Jack Sparrow wondering about posing for pics...once we finished our drinks we were walking round to meet Andrew when Jack Sparrow turned up again right in front of us! I waited until he posed with other people and then I asked for a picture...which he did!



Ok...so it wasn't the *actual* Jack Sparrow...but a really good impersonator! He had the accent right, the stagger right and after I said 'thank you' - he did the Jack Sparrow 'thank you' by putting his hands together (like a prayer) and nodding his head! It was great!

After this, we went to the Andrew Tiernan que...although it was an open que so anyone could go down at any time. I went down, picked a photo and waited until the people in front had finished talking to him - he was obviously very happy to chat! When it came to my turn, I walked up and broke the ice by telling him that I was just teaching my mum how to use my camera...he laughed and we continued talking about '300' and his favourite scene (the Persian tent scene) and working with Gerry!

I told him that I was a particular fan of Gerry and he told me that he and Gerry regularly meet up - and he said that he'd tell him about me!! {thumb2} I was so happy! I'm going to write to him and remind him to do so!

My friend is THE BIGGEST fan of 300. He absolutely LOVES the movie. He's watched it like 20 times. Sweet success.

Jack Sparrow looks just like Johnny Depp. Great impersonator!!!

I saw that Jack Sparow impersonator too when I was in London in late August. I saw him at the London's Eye when the Heroes cast were there. He's awesome

Yeah...Greg Grunberg was one of the first guests to be announced as attending but the week before the convention he had to pull out because of filming confllicts but he is set to attend 'Lockdown' the UK's 'Lost' convention.
