In Austin, TX on 3-13, I got Producer Donald De Line (Body of Lies, Observe and Report, I Love You, Man, etc.), and John Hamburg on a production photo from "I Love You, Man". They inscribed and signed it. At the same table in the Hotel was Paul Rudd, I got Paul on 3 photos, and a picture with Hamburg and Rudd. Paul inscribed one of the 3 photos. Later on at the Premiere, I got Jason Segel on 2 photos as he got out of the car. I TOTALLY missed Jamie Pressley and was SO BUMMED, because I had brought 2 photos that got sent back to me with a PP of her years ago - oh well! I got Rashida Jones as she was doing press - I waited for a lull in the interview process and asked her kindly. I then waited around afterwards and they all came out, I really wanted a photo with Jason (Because I LOVED "Forgetting Sarah Marshall"), but no dice. I then asked Rashida nicely if she'd sign a photo - and she came over to me and signed and talked to me and a few others that were waiting (should've gotten a photo with HER! Yeah, I know, don't rub it in! LOL)
Then again on 3-16, in Austin, I hung around the Hotel and around 3 or so I got Danny McBride on 2 photos - he nicely inscribed both. Later on Michael Pena and Anna Faris came and got ushered to the makeup and wardrobe rooms to change. Michael came down and was just waiting in the lobby. I introduced myself to him and he signed a photo and a DVD insert from "Crash". Very nice guy. Also mulling around in the lobby/bar/restaraunt area were Judd Apatow, actors Jesse Plemons, Collette Wolf, Matt and John Yuan, Ben Best and director, Jody Hill. I waited until Anna came and she was talking for a while, when she stopped talking, I walked up and introduced myself to her and asked for her autograph. She inscribed and signed 2 photos and I took a photo with her. Lastly, Seth Rogen came down and after a bit of talking with other actors, I introduced myself to him and asked if he'd autograph a couple of photos. He inscribed and signed them, and took a photo with me. He also smelled like pot
All in all, I got everyone that I had intended to get. And later on this week, Billy Bob Thornton, and Del Castillo will be in Austin, but I'll probably not spend the gas to go and get them. Also on Sunday, I was going to go and get Catherine Hardwicke, but decided not to and then later found out Sam Rockwell, Bill Hader and Greg Mottola were in town for premieres/panels. Oh well! You can't get them all! (but I would have tried if I had known Rockwell, Hader and Mottola were in town!)
Still it was GREAT that I gould get everyone that I went to get. Now, I'm going to see if a photographer friend of mine can make the camera photos I took look a bit better!
