Ok the report. Well I thought at 10:30am that I might go past the store to see if anyone was waiting for the guys yet, as the were meant to arrive at 2:30. Due to it pouring rain, it being freaking windy as, and it verging on a blizzard I thought not many people would be there. Well I got there and half a block of people were already waiting, (if you know Geelong from KFC to Village cinemas was packed!)
So I joined the line and to cut a long story short ventured the cold from 10:30- 3:30. Yes 5 hours!!!!! But despite loosing all feeling in my feet, legs, fingers arms…you know everywhere the time passed very quickly as I made friends with several people in front and behind me. The guys turned up in a black limo and 2:00pm and poked out the roof from across the street for a few seconds. Then we waited and waited and waited for them to come back! Eventually they did and went straight to the door of the shop and possible straight in (I was way to far back to see!).
About half an our in we got told a lot of people wouldn’t get to meet them. Ok, some people had come almost 3 hours drive on top of the hours of waiting from places like Mornington! But thankfully I was luck enough to get in, YAY!
They didn’t allow any photos or for signatures to be personalized, but one of the lovely people I met, managed to get one of Kellan before security came and yelled at her.
The autographs were pricey ($30 each) so most people were just getting Kellan to sign. But I got both Edi and Kellan’s. As Edi had no line when I got in the store I got to go straight up to him. He was saying something to Kellan when I said “hiâ€.
He turned and flashed me one of THE BEST smiles I have ever seen! (I swear I nearly dropped on the floor, but that could also have had something to do with warmth return to my body from being out in the rain so long) and he said “hi, how are you?†as he offered me his hand to shake. Poor thing! His hand was so warm compared to mine he must have thought I was a vampire! I said something along the lines of ‘I am good thanks how are you?’
He said ‘Good thanks as he signed my picture’.
Then I said ‘I really loved you in Twlilight you did an amazing job, blah blah’…of course it came out all rushed and stupid. He smiled and again and said “Thank you so much! But you ain’t seen nothing yet! New Moon is going to be awesome! Taylor is so amazing!â€
I was like ‘oh yeah he’s put on SO much muscles.’
And he was like “I know, he’s HUGE! He’s just stacked it on!’
Then Kellan was free so I had to move on. So I said thanks to Edit then Hi to Kellan who took the pic smiling and seemed to concentrate as he signed (must have been getting carpel tunnel syndrome by now).
Me being the oaf I am was trying to think of SOMETHING other then the stupid “I love you†thing to say….so what did I come up with!? “I like your braceletsâ€. *Hits self over the head* I had noticed he had a stack on the arm he was signing with. They were pretty though, granted. Well it worked, he got a huge smile and pulled his hand up to look at himself saying something along the lines of ‘Thanks! I got a lot don’t ? I love them too.’ And he looked at me like he was waiting for me to say something more. As there were people waiting and I knew the more time I spent the less other people would get to meet him, (and I know how shattered I would have been if I had waited but missed out) so I just said thanks and went away beaming!
They were meant to come and say hello at the end to everyone who waited but couldn’t get in but I didn’t hang around to find out. Was so cold and shocked
