carrie underwood failure
went to hotel for carrie underwood today. She walked out would not even look at as or acknowledge we were there. Her tour manager was a dick to.I lost all my respect for carrie there were only four of us there.I was a big fan of hers but I'm not anymore. She is impossible through the mail and in person.I guess you need a greet and meet with her.I waited for 7 hours for her.

Re: carrie underwood failure
People why do you think a celeb has to be "nice" 24 hours a day AND at a hotel where they're there to relax and not be bothered by fans. There is a place and time for fans encounters BUT hotels, resteraunts, and airports are not the right place.
Carrie is a sweetheart and is ALWAYS nice to her fans in the "proper" setting ( movie premieres, the CMA Awards or any award show that she attends ). I just got her at the last Country Music Awards in Las Vegas and she signed at a talk show a few months back. DON'T call her mean just because people "stalked" her at her hotel. Yeah I said it I think people that do the hotels are nothing but stalkers, dealers, and ebayers. Real fans give the respect to the celebrity.

I agree. A hotel is supposed to be a celeb's private space. Hounding them there is like waiting on the sidewalk in front of their home.
Re: carrie underwood failure
well then you are bashing alot of people on this site because alot do that..and its not a big deal...there are people who want to get IP signed photos... anyways they came into the business knowing that "if i get famous i will get asked for 1000's of autographs...." and by the way: she has no choice but to "be nice" @ the "proper settings" because if she would be a witch in public it would be everywhere and she wouldnt that. and im not saying be nice 24/7 but when you win a #1 hit show in america because your fans vote for you, i think it would be nice to sign for them...and what makes it even worse is that it was only 4 people....and i will call her what i please if its how i feel...and i feel that is was mean.. My autographing friend goes after people at Hotels and gets people however I do not. I mean if you are staying there and happen to see them you are more than welcome to say hey but don't bother them if you aren't staying there. Carrie is a sweetheart and loves her fans.

musicfan,
good for you if you get people at the hotel and I'm not meaning to bash other people for doing so.....BUT YOU are taking the chance that a celebrity will sign for you in a hotel setting. What I'm saying is you really can't judge a celebrity encounter in a hotel setting. So what if Carrie didn't sign. You can't judge someone by this encounter. You run into Carrie in a more "public" scene she will be very nice to you.
A hotel is a home away from home for the celebrity. How would you feel if someone waited for you on their doorstep?
And Bigcurt it was YOUR CHOICE to wait 7 hours. It's not like Carrie asked you to do this.

Re: carrie underwood failure
Last word on this subject.
I just wanted to clear up that if the hotel is your thing and you have gotten successes before.....To all CONGRATS.
BUT
The main thing I was pointing out is don't expect the celebrity to be nice ALL THE TIME is this kind of situation. Like I said this is their home away from home. Just because she didn't sign for you doesn't make her mean. I'm sure other celebs stiffed signing at the hotel.
The bottom line is that you take a big chance relying on the hotel to get autographs. Continued succeses if the hotel is your thing.
PLEASE no more bashing.
