Dark Shadows convention

While I couldn't attend, a friend of mine graciously went to the Dark Shadows convention held in Burbank this past weekend (July 16-18). Here are the goodies she got for me (sorry about the blurry photos):

Congrats!
Too bad your friend couldn't get you Jonathan Fried. He was most difficult to get and would only pre-sign photos if you attended the banquet. During the convention Jonathan got his handprints at a place called the Vista Theatre. I know the manager of the theatre and was able to get Jonathan inside.

You've always got the in's lol

I do have Jonathan Frid on a Famous Monsters magazine from when he brought his one-man show to my town back in the 90s, and a signed photo, it just would have been nice to have him on the poster as well.

I could always pay his fee and send it off to Canada, I suppose, if I wanted it badly enough, but I'm afraid of never getting it back.

nice that you at least got Frid on something. Again congrats on the signed Dark Shadow items. You have a very nice friend to do this for you. I love the poster!

mailing the item to his office might work, but an item that's signed by that many cast members of a classic show, i wouldn't risk it... especially since it took 3 months for the signed photo to get to me after I paid for it.

That was my thought, too. I had e-mailed his rep when I got the poster, before it was signed, if I could send it to him and I never got a response. I think I'll just keep it as is. Who knows, another opportunity may crop up sometime.
