Rik Smits success!

I had the pleasure of meeting Rik Smits yesterday. Rik was the former All-Star center for the Indiana Pacers in the mid-late 90s. He made an appearance at the Kroger grocery store I work at here in Indianapolis. He was there along with Boomer (the Pacers mascot) to help kick off/celebrate the Pacers new basketball season (Kroger is a sponsor of the Indiana Pacers)

Anyway, I chatted with Mr. Smits about a common problem we share....big feet! I wear a size 16 or 17 (depending on the brand of shoe) and he wears a size 20. We swapped names of stores/online retailers that carried big size shoes....he did inform me of one I had not heard of.

Mr. Smits was very easy going and seemed to be genuinely enjoying himself while meeting and talking with his fans.
