Re: FAILURE: Jack Nicholson
Look, if you really want this guy, here's your chance. There are many times I've said to myself "should I try? "will he or she come over and sign"? Regardless if Jack signs or not, by going, you at least tried. I would hate to have a negative attitude and not go and find out latter he did it.
Re: FAILURE: Jack Nicholson
True. I was just clarifying if there was another spot for fans to catch Jack in addition to the area across the street? I'd hate to go and miss out only because I didn't know that there was a 2nd area for him to pass by that I wasn't aware of.

justin,
It seems that every premiere has some sort of different setup. But the norm for the Chinese pretty much has been across the street. I've been doing this for a long time and unless you have an actual ticket for the premiere, this is the only spot that fans can wait. Good luck and maybe I'll see you there.

again Seeing-stars is not always accurate please keep this is inmind to avoid being disapointed come december 13Justin wrote:Thanks guys. I'll remember the tips next time I'm in the warzone.
Cool so we have a premiere in December? At Grauman's Theatre, don't the fans line up across the street at the barricades? I've seen stars walk across the street to sign some autographs---but not always. Has Jack done that before? Unless there's another spot where I can catch Jack that I'm not aware of...(I've never ventured to Grauman's during a premiere for an autograph)....is that spot across the street my only option?

Across the street is the best place to wait if you dont want to risk being moved by security after planting yourself in a spot on the same side of the street as the theatre.Justin wrote:True. I say that cause i cant tell you how many times ive seen people sitting near the barrcades on the side of the chinese gift shops for several hours only to be told as it got close to show time they had to move.

Re: FAILURE: Jack Nicholson
Thanks Hollywoodman! I was gonna ask what were my options after the premiere. Surely, Jack will have to leave the theater...I just never knew if there was another exit I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the info! I might have to try it...that is...when we know for sure if it's at Grauman's or elsewhere.
Re: FAILURE: Jack Nicholson
There are really no options for afterwards. You might get some of the "scrub" names BUT an "A" name like Mr. Nicholson, forget it. The whole idea of these premieres is to promote a movie. Once the red carpet is over and the photographers leave than it's "done" Best chances of getting Jack to sign is when the cameras are on himfor the publicity. Therefore your only shot is when the premiere starts and not after.
Re: FAILURE: Jack Nicholson
I guess I'll have to wait and see. It doesn't help that Jack doesn't make too many appearances these days.

A Howard Hughes-funded box-office bomb featuring white actor John Wayne as Mongolian chieftain Genghis Khan, and the redheaded Susan Hayward as a Tartar princess. The movie was filmed near St. George, Utah, downwind from a nuclear testing range in Nevada,

blimey!
well when it gets so bad that Jack himself has his vision blocked from angles by photos waved directly in his face you cant blame him, he tried signing as much as he could but had to push them aside so he could se where he was going and what to sign next.
Ive luckily got 1 from Jack when he idd a Uk prem a few years ago
