Day before the game

The entire team stayed in that night, so there was 0 chance to get them going to dinner like trips previous. Only graphs were from them coming out after a late afternoon practice at the arena for a whole 2 people that clued in to where the bus was parked.
Day of the game, I went down with visions of getting several of the TV/NHL people that were there, never saw a single 1 that I had stuff for. Did see Chad Kroeger though, got 1 autograph from him...which is far less than I am used to...but he was running late, getting there as the anthems were being sang.
With the exception of Chad Kroeger during the Stanley Cup finals & The Leo Awards last month, I havent hounded a non-NHL person in just about 2 months.
Went out Saturday hoping to get Rose McGowan, but never saw her.... however, day 2 saw me not just break the slump, but kick it down & continually stomp on it till my foot was tired.... sadly, with all the success.... 1 massive fail defined for me, what should have been an A+ day.
The new TV show "Secret Circle" cast started coming in & I got several autographs from Phoebe Tonkin & Thomas Dekker on their arrival, even after being in customs for 2+ hrs Dekker was happy to see people waiting.
After that we headed back downtown for a bit, and had plans to head back out to the airport for a moderately popular 9 PM flight. In the mean time we spent some time hanging around 1 of the more commonplace hotels for part time actors in town (and where Rose was staying).Saw Thomas Dekker again....then finally, at quite literally the last minute before I would have had to leave to go back to the airport, Rose McGowan came out of the hotel, got in her van & did a roll down upon leaving the driveway. She was quite pleasant, and even chatted breifly about how she hadnt got to see a lot of Vancouver yet. One of the hounds suggested going to check out Stanley Park, she asked whats there, and he replied "theres lots of forest, an aquarium, squirrels" & Rose laughed at him and went "Squirrels, thats a selling point?" That made my month from a hounding standpoint.
Back to the airport for the 9 PM flight, we were hoping to see several more people come in as 3 productions start up next week...but all we saw was 1 from a production we already knew was filming. Jensen Ackles from Supernatural came thru. 1st time we had seen him this season. He signed for us, chatted breifly about how is job of directing this episode was going & how he would never ever get a twitter account.
Unfortunately, there was 1 massive epic failure on the day that put a damper on all the successes. We saw Sharlto Copley arrive to get ready for his film which doesnt start for a couple more weeks. With the production expecting to be mostly indoors, there probably wont be a lot of chances to hound him on set, and he is likely staying in a residence. Got a pic with him...but I would have rather got several autographs. Worst part is, I had EVERYONE else from that film in my binder...but never pulled him out for some reason.
Still, getting 11 celeb autographs in 1 day after quite literally getting nothing in almost 2 months still felt good enough.
Stars leaving for Comic-Con. Had some mixed success today.

Missed an entire cast though, as Once Upon A Time took an even earlier flight than the 1 and only San Diego flight at 8 AM. John Noble declined any requests.
Felt good to at least shake off some of the rust though...even though I expected much more.

Again like going out of town I was expecting a bit more...but missed a bunch of the OUAT cast returning because they came thru earlier than I expected, and others came back on the late night flight that I wasnt interested in waiting out.
Sharlto did an autograph signing at an African grocery store here. He showed up late (as most signing guests seem to) but stayed well past the time he was asked to and only left after there was literally no one there with nothing left.
One hound got 28, and Sharlto didnt once gripe or say "how about I just do X amount", instead he just rolled thru them all and chit chatted with the hound as he did them. Amazing class act.
