Great day for IP's yesterday!

Unread post by margotchanning »

I went to the badwofl Dr Who convention yesterday and for £50 I got to meet a ton of celebrities!

I met.......

Sheridan Smith - The nicest celeb I've ever met. She's my favourite actress so it was an honour to meet her and she was just amazing to the fans! She chatted and joked with everyone. Made everyone feel special. A real star!

Peter Davison - He was ok but really rushed through his queue (which wasn't as long as Sheridan's) He just asked who you wanted the photo signed to and that was it. Not friendly/not arrogant, just ok.

Georgia Moffet - Peter's daughter was fab! Her queue was very long but she took the time to chat and she was very sweet. Happily posed for photo's (which wasn't allowed!)

John Leeson - An arrogant idiot! His autograph wasn't included in the entrance fee and he got really annoyed when people didn't realise and went up to talk to him without paying extra. I paid for his autograph coz I wanted K9's signature :lol: He was not a nice man though!

Terry Molloy - Seemed a bit bored but was nice enough.

Kai Owen - A really nice guy. Very cheeky and full of fun. He happily chatted, joked around & posed for photo's with everyone. Seemed to be really enjoying himself!

Amy Manson & Heather Craney - Two Torchwood guests who signed together as they were partners in the show. Very friendly and chatty and were obviously friends in real life as they were joking around together the whole time they were signing!

Matt Ryan - A nice guy but came across as quite shy. Not very chatty but he was pleasant.

Yamit Mamo - I didn't like her at all. She seemed really bored and didn't make an effort to chat. She was selling cd's and didn't like it if you asked her to sign a photo and didn't buy the cd. I only got her autograph because it was included in the entrance fee.

I'm jealous of Moffett, she's the only one I've seen in this series of Dr Who, well done!

Sheridan is always lovely, she was really chatty when I met her up in London.

I'm not sure. This is the first one I had heard of and I only went to meet Sheridan, the others were a bonus :D

http://www.10thplanetevents.com will give you information on future conventions {thumb2}

These events do take place quite feqeuently, across the UK, also in Canada and America. However, Bad Wolf is the beggest one for people in the new series, as opposed to the pre- Ecclestone one.

I love her - she is s fantastic actress - I particularly like her in 'Love Soup' and 'Two Pints of Lager'

I wrote to her a few weeks ago so Hope I get a reply.

Apparently, she voiced a character called Lucie in a Dr Who audio book. I don't watch Dr Who so I don't know for sure , but that's what was written in the event program I was given {thumb2}

I'm sure she will reply to your letter. She's awesome! I've never met a celebrity so down to Earth and good to her fans!

Great successes

Fair price too, it costs £50 per person to see Nigella Lawson at the Good Food Show for an hour to bake cookies. :o
Favourite successes: Paramore, New Found Glory, Death Cab For Cutie

:shock: £50 for just that? I got into the whole event for free a couple of years ago, including the cooking demos :mrgreen:
