Michael Parkinson book signing

Earlier today I met Michael Parkinson at his book signing at Waterstones in Leeds.
I queued for 2 hours and I was one of the first in line yet he still ignored me, which I thought was very rude.
It's not like he'd already spoken to a few hundred people before me! There was like 3!
He always seemed like such a friendly and funny person on his tv show.
But oh well, atleast I've met him! :)

Below is the autograph he signed for me:

And here is me and Parky:

Aww hayley :( I think its because for the last few weeks he's done alot of press about the book TV interviews and book signings, there was one yesterday in london so he's probably been non stop, and at his age even the whether makes them moody

Ill be gutted on friday if alen acts like that though, he seems to be such a happy out going person, meeting them in real life gives you a whole different view on who they really are.
At least not everyones like that, I went to a hollyoaks signing a few years back and I never expected sarah dunn (mandy) to be so nice.

dont let it put you off for future signings 8)

Nice one, I was hoping he'd do a signing near me but no such luck, I wanted to get a book signed for a friend for christmas.

Shame he was grumpy, maybe he'd had a bad day or like LLF said, he may have been getting fed up with signing lol. Geri Halliwell was in an indifferent mood when I met her, I put it down to her being late, so there could've been something that caused him to be miserable? Could've just been one of those days (we all have those! lol)

(See, I'm not always negative ;-) )

Yeah true, my boyfriend was saying that's what happens when you meet a celebrity, you have an idea of what they're like and if they don't live up to that expectation then you'll be left disappointed.
I was speaking to my mate about this and we agreed to let Parky off because he's old! :)
I don't think Alan will be grumpy, I could imagine him being very funny! But I'm not gonna let myself get my hopes up lol.
Oh wow I'd love to go to a hollyoaks signing, i'm obsessed with that show! :D

Erm I think it was around 12 when most people started to arrive. There was only about 10 people queing up until that point, but I don't know if Alan will be more popular or not. I don't finish my lesson until 11 so I won't be getting there until about half 11 so I'm hoping it's just as quiet for this one, I don't want to be near the back of the queue! I have to get back for another lesson at 2.

Lol yes that was a positive message!
Yeah like I said I'm gonna let him off, purely for the fact that he's getting on a bit! :P
