After seeing Equus at the Broadhurst on 12/29, we escaped quickly (somehow, 6th row seats?!) to outside the stage door. My sister and I were the first to arrive in the ticketholders section, where we waited patiently for probably a half an hour. FINALLYYYYY Daniel came out and started signing. As he approached us, I told him he did great in the show and I really enjoyed it, and he said thank you. As he was signing my playbill, he told me he liked my hat!! The ones we were wearing were very similar. It was pretty much the best day of my life, I think :D

These were taken with my phone:

Thank youuu :) He's pretty short and spoke quietly. I hope you get a reply too, but I'm sure you won't have any trouble as long as you sent a SASE!!

Believe it or not, Daniel, Richard & mostly the people over at the All My Sons Revival are pretty much told by whomever to be quiet and nothing too much more than a "thankyou" and "thanks for coming" type deal. I'm not sure of the reason for this (perhaps someone like Daniel is shy when it comes to fans ;-)), but I know for Katie Holmes they mentioned it for "secruity purposes."

30 minutes is a long time for an actor -- especially with a play to come out! That's when I usually give up by like 20 minutes tops :). Unless he wears tons of makeup I'm unfamiliar with!

And thanks for reporting on the "ticket-holder" section! I nor anyone I personally know has stagedoored for Equus and it's just what I had been hearing... If you ever get back to Broadway and see another play or a musical starring "strictly" Broadway people, you will see how drastically different the stage door experience is: more intimate & calm (usually!)!

And congrats once more! Broadway dreams coming true for the actor and the fans ... ! :D
