JONATHAN ROSS- GREAT IP SUCESS!

Hi,

Today I met Jonathan Ross as he arrived for his first show at BBC Radio 2 since his suspension in October. In the two and a half years I have been IP colelcting at these studios, I have never seen anything like this.

He arrived at about 9.30, and there were alot of people waiting for him! There was me, the only autograph collector, 60 or so paparazzis, 10 BBC security guards, and 5 policemen! :roll:

Anyway, Jonathan comes out, and with the help of the shielding of 2 policemen, I manage to get Jonathan to sign my autograph book. I also welcome him back and say that we (the people who collect at his show) have missed him.

However, the autograph isnt important to me as I have many off him, it's the principal of meeting him on his first show back.

A picture of me getting Ross to sign is now surfacing on the internet. It already appears on the Guardian and Daily Mail newspaper websites.

Picture I've taken from the Guardian and put onto my site:

Hi James {up}

Congrats on that fantastic auto success!!!

I will try and get a copy of a breakfast radio bit I did for the BBC on the Sunday 25th talking about Ross and his ban etc. We did touch on the lack of autograph hunters at his radio return!!! Obviously that was before I realised you were the single autograph hunter in question. If I had known I would have tried to contact you for a comment!

I think you might now be one of the UK's highest profile IP auto collectors!!! Great job {up} {up}

Haha, thats great Ian! I was the only one there indeed, the lack of collectors may have been due to not too good guests, I know last week with Coldplay on there were a number of people there!

Whoa, amazing success James. The look on both yours and Jonathan's face is priceless. Hes like so happy and all, and all I see is James pop out of a bunch of police officers with an autograph book. Its pretty hilarious he had that many guards and stuff. Though I think that was inevitable with what happened. Anything can happen these days following an incident like that. Nonetheless, great success mate and congrats on getting on the Guardian!

Cheers!

Hope I can stay a bit now if I can stomach some of the politics :D

I have the feeling I might still be a square peg though . . .
