Afterschool I went over to Letterman and got Paul Rudd to sign two index cards. We went over to NBC. The Pussycat Dolls walked straight past us. Tracy Morgan walked in and signed for us. Michael Stipe told us, "I don't sign autographs." We went over to the screening of "The Great Buck Howard." All the paparazzi and graphers anticipated the arrival of Tom Hanks. John Malkovich arrived and signed only in black sharpie. Colin Hanks (Tom's son) came in and signed for us. Emily Blunt arrived and signed a ton of autographs, she has a crappy signature. Fred Schneider signed for us when he arrived. Ralph Macchio (Karate Kid) was there, but no one noticed him. Tom Hanks finally arrived and we barely missed him. He signed a ton for Radioman and went inside. Jane Fonda came late and only signed two autographs. Selita Ebanks the Victoria's Secret model was there. Michael Stipe walked past us again. We waited for the screening to start. John Malkovich left early and signed on the way out. Colin Hanks also signed one on the way out. We all waited for daddy Hanks to come out. Tom Hanks came out around 8:30 pm and started reaching for a grapher's pen before Tom went through the door. He started signing EVERYTHING in sight. I got him on two index cards (one for a friend who walked away to use the restroom). Tom probably signed around 30-50 autographs for the 10-12 graphers. He signed a bunch for Radioman again. I left after my friends went to the hotel for the afterparty. Awesome day, didn't plan on autographing and ended up with a bunch of autographs including one of my favorite actors. Two Oscar winners in consecutive days, Geoffrey Rush and Tom Hanks! I'm hoping for the same next week.
