That's good of them to sign after such a depressing result.

Yeah I was suprised by how many did sign, as the season has progressed they have got worse (even at home games) but it is understandable.

I wish there was some way of them staying up but it seems very unlikely now

Yeah. Don't Newcastle/borough dislike each other?

Well it depends on who you talk to really lol as even though my main team are Newcastle, Boro are my second team! Hehe.
But generally Newcastle fans don't really care, main rivals are Sunderland but Boro fans tend to hate Newcastle. A very one-sided rivalry at times! We even have a chant that is sung at the Riverside, once the annoucer says "Tees-Tyne Derby" Newcastle fans start singing "it's not a derby, it's not a derby" etc lol.
