Patrick Stewart IP

Unread post by osiris »

On Saturday I saw Waiting for Godot at the Haymarket Theatre in London, starring Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Ronald Pickup and Simon Callow. After the show, I waited by the stage door and a gentleman came out and told us that Patrick would be out shortly and would sign one Godot item per person (I'd taken my Hamlet programme in the hopes he might sign it, but that's fair). He told us Sir Ian had already left. While we were waiting, Mark Gatiss arrived at the stage door and went in!

Eventually Patrick came out and signed my programme (just after I practically fell off the kerb :oops: he was like "oops").

Nice addtion! And it's even readable! I like it when celebs actually take the time to write their name instead of quick scribble. {thumb2}

Yeah it's a good one. My last IP from him (after Hamlet 3rd Jan) there were so many people that it's a bit more rushed. This time there were only 8 or so of us, and he took the time to chat too (though he never seemed to look at anyone he was talking too, always head down & signing lol).

Well done! I got him there arriving and he seemed in a good mood, he even signed someone's Star Trek 10x8! I got a DVD and my autograph book signed.

Shame about Sir Ian, he signed for me at Godot (arriving) but doesn't seem as nice now as he was a few years ago, or maybe when I got him Jan 08 he was just in a good mood!

Well done though!

He signed ST?! Damnit I should have asked if he'd do the Hamlet one!

There were only three or four of us, but he did it.. just. He took some persuading by them but he did do it.

Nice! So lucky to get him on a 10x8 etc, I never have apart from TTM, he is so fussy even about signing programmes from other shows he has been in

The only thing he refused for me is a photo with. I guess it depends on whether he woke up on the right side of bed or not! :mrgreen:
