Comic Con is a total waste of time!
For the money, time and effort you'll be lucky to even get a few autographs. There's a press event that happens around the same time as Comic Con and I get a lot more autographs at this event. Just this past one I managed to get autographs from David Tennant, Matt Damon, Ed Norton, Thomas Jane, the entire casts of Being Human, Warehouse 13, Fringe, and The Big Bang Theory, just to name a few. A few of these people did signings at Comic Con but you had to be lucky to get a raffle ticket and you had to wait in a long line! And David Tennant didn't even have a signing at Comic Con.

I know this is an old blog, but I have to agree a little. As a non-attendee, I have been on the fence about this event lately.
I requested a con program and after leafing through 195 pages, it seems to be a colossal cluster. I am no longer on the fence on this event. No parking nearby. No carts allowed on the con floor.
Collectors cannot be fully prepared to bring items for signature, because you don't really know in advance who's coming and who isn't, much less what time.
The big name, red hot people you have to gaggle around for a ticket raffle just to get in the same room.
Hundreds of thousands of people all competing for the same thing.
I'll pass.
