Alton Brown book signing

Went to Boston, Ma to see Alton Brown. He did a Q&A for about 45 minutes with a crowd of about 300 or so in a nice little theatre. Then we went across the street to the book signing. I stood in line for about an hour and a half, but I had my ipod and watched a bunch of Futurama episodes, so it wasn't too bad...and it was totally worth it to meet him in person. He was very funny in his Q&A and had some things to say about other Food Network personalities. It was funny. He interacted with the crowd very well and told some great stories. At the book signing he shook my hand and asked me my name. I told him that my sister likes his 'SpongeBob SquarePants' episode. He laughed. Then I told him that I really like his chicken wing recipe and that it's the only way I will ever make wings. He looked me right in the eye and said, "Thank You." (very sincere, I thought) and then claimed it to be, "one of my proudest moments when I realized you have to steam them." I said thanks and he said something else, but by this time I was walking away and he was reaching for another book to sign. I wish I would have taken my camera. He was actually posing with people for pictures...another reason for the hour and a half wait. He was very nice, and very approachable. He is writing the second book in the Good Eats series called 'The Middle Ages'. I will be keeping an eye out if he comes back to Boston. I'd go again for sure.
