Doctor Who BAFTA Event

As I'm writing this I'm still in 7th heaven! I've been collecting autographs for quite a long time that it takes something really special for me to consider sharing a success.
First of all I am a HUGE Doctor who fan and I have accumilated a vast amount of Who related autographs through out the years. I have meet and gotten all the Doctor's with the exception of William Hartnel. Anyway I heard that the cast of the new series was going to do an appearance out here in the United States BUT in New York. Living out here in the Los Angeles/Hollywood area, you can't imagine my disapointment that I couldn't go. I tried to contact several FanMail members who live in New York so that maybe they could help me out. No one ever got back to me. I even contacted the theatre putting on the event to see if they would accept items from me. Again no response. It looked like I would not be able to ever meet the cast or get their autograph.
Then, an actor friend of mine, who knows that I am a fan of the show, told me that BAFTA ( a guild for British actors ) was going to put an event out here in my area. It was not open to the public and only actors could attend. I'm not an actor but I figure I could maybe wait outside the venue and get at least a couple photos signed and if I'm lucky a photo opp.
The screening and q@a took place on the 15th of April. Since it wasn't open to the public I was the ONLY fan waiting outside the theatre. This was going to be a piece of cake! Matt, Karen and Steven Moffat ( head writer and producer ) all came in the same black SVU but were all nice enough to wait while I got some of my photos signed. They told me that they had to go in but promised me that they would sign EVERYTHING I had. Matt then asked me if I was going inside the event. I told him no because I wasn't a BAFTA member. He then told me that to stick with him and that I was his guest and he would get me in! So not only did I get their autographs but I was able to attend the screening and the reception afterwards. Thanks to Matt Smith, the Doctor! He is the best! Anyway, I got signed three solo photos each of Matt and Karen and four cast shots completed. Also I was able to get several photo opps with them. Oh, as a bonus, original head producer Russell T Davies was in the audience so I was able to get his signature as well. And I was able to converse with the cast in depth. The best part was since this was an event for actors there were no fans around. Don't get me wrong, I get along fine with the fans of the show but if this open to the public there would have been no way I would have accomplished this much. I will never forget this night and it will always be the #1 highlight in all my years that I have been doing the hobby.
You don't know how much I'd like to post up photos of the event and share them with you fellow FanMail members BUT
I don't have a scanner. I wish I did.
