I was Bret Michaels in concert on March 30th in Milwaukee, the opening act was Attention, they, as well as Bret's drummer was out after the show, I got pictures with all of them (which are posted on my myspace and facebook for those who know me). I bought a cd from Attention ($10) and got all members to sign it. A meet and greet with Bret was $100 to charity or you had to buy $100 worth of merchandise, the meet and greet was a picture with bret and an autograph, I didn't have the cash with me (and it's a nice chunk of money), if I had known he was going to almost die, I might have broughten money with me

Congrats on the success but your statement on "would have brought the money if I knew he almost died" is kind of morbid.
You don't just get someone's autograph based on the celebrities health status. You get the autograph if you are a fan.

I agree, it's kind of hard to explain. I am a Bret Michaels fan, I love Poisen's music as well as his solo stuff, he put on an AMAZING show, but $100 is alot of money. At the time that I decided to not spend the money, I didn't regret it at all, I have a family to support and $100 is a nice chunk of cash for an autograph; after Bret was hospitalized, I did instantly regret not paying for the meet and greet, I also felt bad for him and his kids, and I really wanted him to get better. When I heard of his health problem I didn't just regret the auto, I regretted passing up an opportunity to meet Bret in person. The good news I'll probably get another chance in about 2 months (maybe longer depending on how his schedule changes), and I'll be setting aside the money.
And I do agree, that did sound morbid, sorry
