Well I know I said I was one of the many against paying such an extautionate price for Bill's sig but the temptation proved too great and I got him to autograph my GENERATIONS BOOK COVER, now signed by both Patrick and William, and I think, looks stunning.

well he was better than I heard (ie no eye contact, doesnt say a word to you) . He did say hello and ask where about I wanted him to sign but it was also very rushed. He looks really old now, afterall he's nearly 80!

Congrats!
The piece looks awesome! Sometimes you have to pay but to get a Shatner this is the ONLY way you're going to get his autograph.

I can't believe he is still charging for his autograph at his age with all his money, I wouldn't walk 10 feet to pick up his autograph if it was free .

thanks bud simpson!

Well I assume He is pretty wealthy but I often thought the reason some of these celebs attend these conventions are becasue they are strapped for cash (or maybe in his case, plain greedy). As you may know, its not Bill chargig the £35, he charges a fee for his attendance and then the organisers charge what they want; the huge price most likely indicates the fee he was asking for was big bucks!!! He must have signed atleast 2500 over the weekend, not to mention photoshoots and a talk he was charging for, you do the math!

well seeing as mike tyson was £100 for your own item or £75 for a signed picture, and a photo was £50, i didnt think £35 for shatner was a bad deal. :D

While people will pay , it is always worth them trying larger amounts - and it is and should always be up to us , the punter , if we are willing to pay what they want to charge .

The fact is you have got a nice piece of memorabilia , signed by both captains , that looks great {up}
