DESPICABLE ME UK PREMIER SUCCESSES: CARELL, Miranda Cosgrove

Last night I was at the UK premier for new animation, DESPICABLE ME.

I had tried for Steve earlier on in the day at both Radion and THIS MORNING show where he blanked all his fans, and signed nothing. I didnt hold up much hope for him at the premier and sure enough he only signed a few initially and then only did interviews and press before going straight in the cinema. Durig this time I did howver get Miranda Cosgrove (School of Rock), she signed my poster and posed for a photo with, by far the most fan friendly of the night. I also got Russell Brand but his signature was a joke as he scribbled my poser whilst walking past at a fast pace.

On the way out to everyones suprise Steve started to sign the line oposite the cinema, he signed my poster but would not pose for a photo,, happy i atleast got a sig but he is such a tough guy to get.

That surprises me about Steven. He always comes across as a nice guy. I guess that goes to show you what you see is not always what you get in person. A person might seem cool in interviews,etc but outside it's a whole another story. At least he signed which is a plus but sorry he was kinda rude

This is the thing,,, I dont want to got into names but when a celeb is admired so much and then us graphers see what they are really like, the rest of the world dont, they see the films, the interviews, they seem like such a nice person, but when doing this hobby you do get to see that other side that only such a tiny amount of the population do, to the rest there are still thier hero etc,,, if only they knew what they were really like!

Exactly Mymy. You understand....... Sometimes I tell people oh they were mean and didn't seem to care or they blew me off and I always get the same answer oh they were probably having a bad day or oh they do not have to sign for you it's not their job. Yes true but if you a rude to fans you also have to remember we are the ones who buy your cds see your movies,etc and what goes around comes around...... That one blow off can cost one less fan.

I understand,but they are people too. Theoretically speaking,if i had been in a serious argument with wife/girlfriend,i would not feel like signing. A factor often,when it comes to musicians at least, forgotten is time. Using my paramore,experiance, they performed a gig interstate the next day! I can fully understand if they had to zip off.

Jaffer; i know whaat you mean, everyone has off days, im just talking about the percentage (and it is very small) of celebs that are like this all the time, ie Steve Carell is well runound for behaving this way... but people also change over time.

Yes there are a small percent and you are right people can change. I can think of a few But it still hurts when celebs blow you off. It leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Sometimes I keep reliving it when that happens. I know I shouldn't but I do
