Anyone here ever get Dave in person? If so, please do share! I'm a huge Letterman fan and always wondered how dealers scored Letterman sigs....always finding them on eBay. I know Dave is practically a recluse so I wouldn't be surprised if it was super rare to get him in person.
But how about outside the Ed Sullivan Theatre? We see many images of other stars signing autographs for the crowd across the street when they do the show. What about Dave? Does he have a secret/Batman entrance and exit for getting in and out of the studio? Would love to meet Dave and would love to know any tips for the next time I'm in in NY.

Re: David Letterman?
I got Dave outside of the Ed Sullivan Theatre. I was told that he leaves at random times. I waited 4 hours for him, and he came out at 10pm. He'd either leave on the Broadway exit, or whichever street that is with the usual celebrity entrance.
His car will be outside and running, and he will just jump out and hop into the car. I had 2 others with me on guard duty. I got him and a picture with him, though. If you do catch him, he's very nice. Good luck.

Cool story Will! I hope I can succeed as well as you did.
Re: David Letterman?
I was in New York last year and was leaving the Hello Deli which is right next to the Ed Sullivan Theatre. It was in the evening and no one was around and I wanted to go look at the door the stars go in and out. I waled maybe 20 feet and for some reason glanced behind me just in time to see Dave getting out of an SUV and walking into the theatre offices door. I was so mad at myself, if I had left the deli like 10 seconds later, Dave would have walked literally right by me. I am still kicking myself over that one.
