Went to a book signing last night in Manchester , where Ryan Giggs was doing a signing for his second autobiography .

Didn't expect much , knew it would be busy , but took my friend's copy of his first book along just in case we lucked out . After waiting almost two hours , the security said that he wouldn't be signing any memorabilia , but I heard the main guy saying that he would ask if Ryan would sign his other book . When I got to the front , I asked the same guy and he said that Ryan would happily sign the book , so I managed to get one done for me and a Christmas present of the new book and the old one done for my friend .

After the signing , I got out just in time to miss my bus home , so set off for a local CD / DVD shop . Set off back to the shop , only to bump into Paul Scholes walking along with his two sons . I asked him to sign something and he said fine as long as I didn't hold him up too much as he had a train to catch . He signed my friend's Christmas present right next to Ryan Giggs' auto - looks great and he will be well chuffed

I sort of think this is my lucky bookshop . Been to a book signing there before , only to bump into Chris Eccleston leaving the shop ( if you knew how much of a Doctor Who fan I am and have been since I was like 2 , you'd understand how amazing that was to me ) . But so chuffed that I had something for Paul to sign , rather than just my auto book - and my friend will have kittens - Paul Scholes is probably his second ever United player next to King Eric .
