I needed the actress Dagmara Dominczyk for my "Count of Monte Cristo" matte. I have tried her agents with no luck so far. Then I saw that she was doing a few week run in a play in NYC at the Rattlestick Theatre. So I sent a request there and so far no response. Well tonight I had to pick up my daughter and her friend from a concert at MSG. And since the play is ending in a few days. I figured I would go early and try to get her signature after tonights performance ends.
I Got it! But, barely. I got to the place around 40 minutes before the show ended. The theatre is tiny. Its just a regular door between two brownstones with a small sign in front. The theatre is upstairs and the lights are off if the show is performing. So I wait. About 10:15pm the light in the stairwell goes on and about (at most) 10 people file out. Then I see a lady who at first almost walks by me. I then notice it was her. She was moving quickly to go home. I asked her to sign my card. She did and was gone. Before I could even ask her to take a picture or have her sign my friends photo who was with me. This must be the tiniest theatre. I am glad I went because the way she seemed to do the signing. I may never get my TTM requests back.
