Hi,

Yesterday I met British actor and BAFTA winner, Colin Firth, at the BAFTAs. The weather was shocking, with rain during most of the arrivals.

Colin, star of The King's Speech, Love Actually, Mamma Mia, Nanny McPhee, A Single Man, Bridget Jones' Diary, amongst others kindly signed and dedicated a 8x10 photo from the King's Speech (with one of the best signatures I have seen from him recently), and also signed my Love Actually DVD sleeve.

These add to my signed DVD sleeves of Nanny McPhee and Mamma Mia that he signed for me at the BAFTAs last year!

Unfortunately the rain has left the photo a bit damaged, but is still one of the nicest looking 8x10s I have!

Thanks! Still have 20 or so successes to post, but these are the main ones.

Just wondering if this is just a hobby or an obsession? Why would you risk coming out in raining weather just to get sick? I would think that one's health and well being are much more important than an autograph. Also aren't you taking a risk that the celebrity will come over, AND IN THE RAIN? Also, as you pointed out, your photos got wet and stuck together. With all this I don't think it's worth it. The hobby to me is what it is a hobby. All the names you've metioned will be out again and you'll have many more chances to get them.
By all means CONGRATS on all the people you got at the BAFTA's but I'm just concerned for you James and other collectors who insist on going out in bad weather. It's just not worth it! I hope you didn't catch a cold.

It's a hobby..
It wasn't raining when I left home, it wasn't raining when I arrived; it started raining when I was there (having arrived at 4pm, I wasn't going to just leave). It's not just 1 celebrity, I got over 25 people, so one not coming over wouldn't be the end of the world.. if it had been just one person going, I may have not gone, but with only one film awards life this a year, I wasn't going to miss it!
