Well if you know full well he doesn't play baseball why get him to sign one? It's pointless, I wouldn't get him to sign a Star Wars DVD or whatever...

few reasons....
1. its what I collect, some do index cards (to me are pointless and dont look good displayed)
2. i go to ALOT of film/tv shoots, sports, etc etc that if i printed pictures I would have easy 100 that didnt sign. so now what do you do w/ 100 pics not signed @ 3.00 a pop (300.00) i am not rich to waste that much money.
3. have you ever compared a signed baseball w/ blue ball point pen vs a black sharpie? the beauty to me is in the signature. white baseball and a beautiful autograpgh vs a color picture and a black scribble.
4. im 36 and alone at these things first thing popped in there head is EBAYER. i show a baseball they are more willing to sign seeing that it is a baseball and not a 11x14 photo. i do this for fun and the thrill of the signature is my reward.

the funny thing there is a following check the ebay listings of baseball autos and what they aske...vs a photo auto

heres SOME of my baseballs sports and actors

Surely you'd want to get something signed that has something to do with them? IC says general, baseball says...baseball. If he has nothing to do with baseball why get one signed?

Photo's at £3 a time? Get a cheaper provider, I get mine at 0.34, and I get them dedicated if they are reluctant. I think you'll find a footballer signed picture is more logical than a footballer signed baseball.
