Today I went to Supernova Convention and got to meet and get autographs from:

Charisma Carpenter - Cordelia on Buffy & Angel
Clare Kramer - Glory on Season 5 Buffy
Denis O'Hare - Russell The Vampire King of Mississippi Season 3 of True Blood

They were all very friendly & nice to meet. Denis in particular was very chatty and when I asked him if his concrete burial was the end of Russell he told me Russell IS still alive BUT would not give anything else away.

Great Stuff

Going to the one in Melbourne this weekend so hoping to get some of the same. Are the autograph lines long (i.e. is it realistic to expect to be able to get say 3 or 4 within an hour or so?)

I don't know what the crowd will be like in Melb but in Bris last weekend we got all 3 within the hour. Charisma's line was the longest(approx 20 min wait) and we just happened to be near Clare while no one was in line - so we grabbed her. Denis had just finished with some one and had no one else either at the moment we approached his table. So I don't know if it was just good luck etc....

I am curious how much do these conventions cost to get in and how much did you have to pay for the charisma and clare autographs?

All prices are aussie dollars of course!!

It cost $25 for admission - once in everything like q&a sessions etc... are free.
Everyone I obtained an autograph from charged $30 and with that an 8x10 was included of which they had a good selection of each celebrity. You could also have a professional 8x10 portrait with each celeb for $40 (I did this last year with James Marsters and it was a great photo and not a digital print).

I was going to ask a similar thing actually. I noticed in your photos the signing tables are pretty bare. At the Armageddon Expo recently you would buy your autograph ticket ($30 as well) and then line up for the celebrity, who would have a range of different 8 x 10's to choose from on the spot.

Good to know you don't need to pay additional for the photos; otherwise I was thinking of just printing off my own.

On another note it's a shame Christopher Lloyd had to pull out at the last minute (as well as Eric Roberts), but at least we get to see him again in November!

When you line up to get the ticket for the autos they have a huge table of everyones 8x10. Some celebs have more to choose from than others. Charisma had about 8(even one if her playboy shots- nothing showing though!!!) but Denis only had about 4. I was really dissappointed about Eric Roberts & hope he answers me ttm. Jane Badler cancelled as well but I got her ttm a few months back & quite quickly cos she lives out here.

If you want to get some snaps be discreet, the celebs are fine with it but the staff are not and we were told not to use our camera - that's why no candid of Denis! The staff at the Q & A just check if it's ok with the celeb & with Clare she had no problems!

Because Christopher Lloyd cancelled, there's going to be another 3 day Supanova event in Brisbane, as well as a shorter one in Melbourne in November where Mr Lloyd is coming back out, as there was a bit of a backlash over the cancellation. It's a little bit ambiguous since it's under '2012', but I'm pretty certain the reference to Christopher Lloyd is for this coming November.

Who knows, hopefully they can get Mr Roberts out then as well. I'd fly up to Brisbane if they could do that!

Thanks for that info - I wonder who else they will get to appear as well? If Eric comes & you come up we should cross paths & say hi!! I will be watching the site especially as Nov gets closer!
