I went to D.C. to see if I could get a chance to meet Beckham and Landon Donovan. Landon was injured so he was not in D.C. afterall. A friend of mine and I waited in the hotel lobby where the team was staying and around 4pm David came down to the lobby to get some coffee. He was polite in taking pictures with some people at the hotel to and from the adjoining coffee shop. He ignored all autograph requests.

Beckham dodged people on his way out of the hotel to the team bus on the way to the game that night against D.C. United. My friend and I headed out to the game to go see it and wound up leaving in the second half to beat traffic and the team bus back to the hotel.

When the bus finally arrived at 10:40pm he was one of the first players off the bus. He took a photo with someone and he signed my friend's Manchester United ball and my Addidas ball. All other autograph pleas and requests were brushed away and his body guard came out of the dinner hall and told us that he was not going to be signing any more autographs.

He was spotted again leaving the hotel and jumping into a taxi to go enjoy the D.C. nightlife.

great story! let me know if you need and galaxy players i may be able to help. i live right by the practice place and can get the reserves and such. if you have the footnball cards i can try on those for you. david signed for everyone (which was like 5 people) about 2 weeks ago. somneone on here asked why i get autos on a baseball and this is a great reason why. not bagging on your auto but your auto
you cant make anything out. thats what i hate is sloppy autos. now look at the baseball auto. takes time and you can read his name somewhat... sorry for the rant....really great success. PM me if ya need any other galaxy on photos or football cards. congrats!
