WOW!! What a day I had! Got there in the morning and managed to get behind a first barricade even though it was all total chaos and nonsense. Lots of tired, grumpy people waiting for days...which seemed unnecessary to me. It wouldn't have been such chaos had people not waited around for days. Anywho, stood there for hours...I have never had to stand for over 12 hours straight and because it was so packed I had to...ouch! So WB started handing out magical wristbands we didn't know what for...and I managed to get one. I know...cloud 9. I ended up being on the red carpet where press and everything was, right next to the interview stage. Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, and Rupert Grint all came our way and signed. Matt and Emma sadly didn't but I already have their autographs and it was so hot out! Such a crazy amazing experience. I felt like royalty though.

One thing I will say, I have no respect for most Potter fans at these premieres. Its only my second, but people were pushing the barricades which were not attached to each other, literally making them almost fall over. I was first in line, and the pushing probably scared the crap out of all of them. I turned around and said "you guys are literally going to crush Daniel Radcliffe...back off" and everyone looked at me like I was rude. No. He is a person who does SO MUCH for his fans and I couldn't believe some people would endanger his life by basically trying to attack him. Ok...off my soapbox. Here's some pics!

Awesome IP Success!! So I gotta ask, did Rickman sign any HP items?? or did 'smart' fans come prepared with pics and items from his other films?

Rickman did sign across the way to the contest winners (won seats on the red carpet, we just got wristbands that day and had to stand) but I couldn't see what he was signing...did look like books though!

Nice! My sister got there at 5 or 6am and got shut out. She was positioned across the street and didnt even get to see anybody show up pretty much. Felton tried to go over but his bodyguards wouldnt let him

Now wait a minute... that big scribble in the middle of your Deathly Hallows thing is Daniel's signature?? Because it looks NOTHING like his TTM autograph!!


Sounds like you had a fantastic time (apart from the psycho fans.. but they show up everywhere), lovely successes, congrats!

velvetgold- that is what his signature has turned into actually lol. i had a few friends get him last week and they looked like that. My sister got him back in May and it was every letter identical to his TTM (when its not a pre print). Im guessing these past few weeks with the premiere he has been rushed more

Interesting! Thanks for responding! Yeah, it would make sense for him to sign like this, at least in person, because his other autograph would take too long! I have to say though, I'm liking this recent IP signature MUCH more than his TTMs! It's much more adult and fetching

Sorry, I have been so busy here in NY and heading back tomorrow. He was also not looking at my book for part of the time so he ended up scribbling in the same place for a little too long hahaha. His VV one is so much nicer because he's not rushed, but I mean he was signing for hundreds of people.

That's really sad! I'm sorry for her the wristbands were given out so randomly so it really wasn't fair for some I definitely think. Happy I got one though!
