Mayor Rudolph Giuliani Success at Cubs Game

I was once again right behind the plate for the Cubs game tonight, and lots of famous folks were in the house. Blackhawks coach Joel Quenville sang the 7th inning stretch, but I couldn't spot him to get a sig. My folks were watching on TV at home and reported that Tommy Morello from RATM was in the house. Dick Vitale was one section to my right. Didn't get any of them, but did get the biggest name in the house: NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani. Rudy walked in just before the game and sat two sections to my right. He was far enough down that he'd be impossible to get to without a ticket, plus he had a bunch of security with him, so I wrote him off assuming I had no shot at getting him. Around the 4th inning, I went to the bathroom and got some food. As I'm coming out of the 'out' door of the bathroom, I see lots of folks pointing and staring at the 'in' door. As I take my beer and pretzel to head back to my seat, out comes Mayor Giuliani to get some hotdogs. He was clearly moving as quickly as a politician can, but was taking some photos and such. I positioned myself by the door he was walking towards, and got him to sign my Cubs mini helmet. Not a bad week: Larry King on Friday, Rudy on Monday!
