and I suddenly saw John Cleese buying groceries! I waited until he had loaded everything into his posh Bentley and went up to him. I asked him if he could please sign this (just a bit of paper in a notepad that I had bought in store just a few moments ago for this moment!). He said "What's your name?" I said "Thomas". "Thomas", he said. "Sensible name..." 
I shook his hand and thanked him. What a day!
