Ive heard he's a jerk and Ive seen videos on YouTube where
he's being a jerk to his fans.

Is it true, he wont sign anything related to his movies ?

He is a jerk but he does sign. I got him a few years ago. He is VERY selective at premieres, only signed 20 or so overall, would take a select item from the crowd go away with it and turn his back whilst signing, almost like he didn't want anyone to see him sign. He took one autograph book and bit it and handed back, but not signed, he is weird! Ive heard if you have an item previously signed by someone else that actually increases your chance of an autograph; he seems to pick those items out more than others.

I got him at an after party rather than the premier itself, still lots of hard work but it sure paid off!

I can't say regarding specific items. Ive given all the info I can for you to make your own mind up. Lets just say if its a huge croud, most people will go away empty handed.

He's not a jerk.

He's pretty shy and introverted. Not a big fan of crowds and people.

I saw a video on YouTube of him where he kept on saying "Go away. Bye" to fans trying to get his autograph.

Maybe I'm missing something, but that seems to prove my point rather than refute it.

It's very similar to Steve Martin. He'll hand you a card that says "You just met Steve Martin" and run away while you're reading it.

At what point did we forget that celebrities are people too, with good days & bad, stress, anxieties, and emotions?

They aren't robots.

Have you ever shied away from a large crowd or snapped at someone when you're having a bad day?

I know I have.

I also know what it's like to have severe social anxiety and want nothing more than to be away from a crowd as soon as possible. To people who see that and don't know me, I come off as stand-off'ish or a jerk. But I'm not. I just don't like situations like that. Just because they've been in movies, it doesn't mean they're immune to anxieties.

And if what you say is true and he KEPT saying that to fans, then it sounds to me like those fans were the jerks. Why should he have to say it more than once?

I hate what this hobby has become. Nobody says please or thank you anymore. It's always "Here. Sign this." or "Give me your autograph." And if it's at a convention, god forbid anyone says anything of that sort. They just hand them the item.

If you're expected to introduce yourself to someone was 10-20 years older than you, would you call them by their first name or "Mr. or Ms."? Ettiquette dictates that you use the latter, & most people do, at least for that initial introduction....unless it's a celebrity.

Have a little respect. They owe us nothing. Yet so many of them give us so much.

I remember an actor signing at a con and the guy in front of me handed him 3 pictures to sign and kept insisting "sign this and add your character name." No "please," no "thank you." It really aggravated me. I make it a point to at least thank a celeb for being at a con and wouldn't even think of using their first name (except with Dean Cain, who grabbed my hand and said "Hi! I'm Dean!" Super nice guy).
