Alan Rickman Awesome Success

I was able to meet the legendary Alan Rickman last night.

He was very nice, and cordial to everyone waiting. Would not sign Harry Potter items, which was fine with me.

I would have taken a Dogma poster, is it just personal preference or does he abide by some kind of Potter contract preventing him from signing, maybe he just wants people to be original with their requests after becoming tired of Harry Potter items?

Pretty much acted the same way here in New York. Personalized everything, and wouldn't take photos. Sorry, he gets a from me, but if you're happy that's all that matters!

I just had a thought that if its not a contract thing then maybe its because he's not the main actor in the movie?

Does he survive in Harry Potter?

It also occurred to me he might not sign for a strange reason like if his character dies in the movie?

It's because he's worried about it ending up on eBay. Same reason McGregor won't sign Star Wars stuff. They think it's a racket. It's a shame people do that because it ruins it for the rest of us.

If I were to meet Rickman I would probably take Die Hard and Galaxy Quest, but it's because those are my two favorites of his.
