Last Friday, Tony was speaking about his life. The night was called 'Taming the Tiger' after his book. He used to be a bodyguard to the rich and famous, broke around 1000 people's legs and arms, committed other crimes, and became the Kung Fu World Champion three times.

While in jail, a stranger wrote to him. This guy was a Christian, and his letters encouraged Tony to pull himself out of the rut he was in. Later on, Tony became a Christian and that was what the evening was about - his life story before, during and after he became a Christian. It was very emotional for me, and afterwards I bought his book and he signed it for me.

The Bible verse noted is John 8:36 - 'So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.'



I didn't expect to be meeting him on the night, so I didn't bring my camera.

Apparantly so, he was brought up in a very violent background and his grandfather only taught him how to fight and hurt people. He didn't know anything about right and wrong and so from there he became bodyguard and did dirty jobs for people eg. breaking legs, etc. Not a nice background, but his change of his life and beliefs really inspired me as it was a brilliant testimony.
