Alan Tudyk (Serenity) Burbank California

This weekend (Oct. 27 - 28) I went to Creation Entertainment's first Serenity/Firefly convention in Burbank California where I met Nathan Fillion, Summer Glau, Morena Baccarin, Alan Tudyk, and Sean Maher.

It was my first Creation event so I didn't know what to expect but since I caught bronchitis so bad I missed a lot of the Comic-Con this year, I needed something else to look forward to. I have absolutely NO idea how I came across the Creation website but I saw the people appearing and wanted to go.

I tried getting a friend and my father to go. While both expressed interest, neither could go - so I was off to Burbank alone. I stayed at the Mariotte because the room was cheap for one night for people attending the convention and because the convention was at the hotel.

The panels were awesome. Nathan Fillion showed up to the convention the day before he was scheduled to so he could crash Alan Tudyk's panel - a few minutes later, Morena came back out (her panel was earlier). Summer and Nathan's panels were back to back so Nathan came out during Summer's panel and she stuck around for his. Eventually, Alan returned the favor and crashed Nathan's panel - and then Sean came out. The four hung out on stage together and answered questions from the fans for more than an hour.

Incidentally, I entered a music video contest and guess whose video played before Alan Tudyk came out? Alan even commented on it when he came out ("Did I see something about me dying?").

Alan was very friendly when I came up to him in the autograph line. I can't remember what he said exactly since I was too busy being 'in awe.'

Alan is a really funny guy to talk to...you should have used that opportunity to talk to him about things...he's very open and willing to talk!

I haven't seen 'Serenity' so I couldn't ask him about that...but I asked him about 'A Knight's Tale' and '28 Days' and questions about them and he was so funny when he was talking about them!

Glad you had a good time!

Totally! He was really friendly to the fans and laughed with them and shook hands and I couldn't come up with anything to say. Hopefully I'll be a little less starstruck next year.
