Before I share my first In Person success here on Fanmail biz, let me give you a little background on myself.

I have been a regular theatergoer for the last four years. I travel to see shows in New York City frequently, in addition to seeing shows up and down the east coast. Although I have had many fan mail successes, 99% of my autgraphs have come as a result of stage door experiences.

I have written a book about these, called The Stage Door Guide. It is a wealth of knowledge for anyone who wants to have a great stage door experience. You can find it at Blurb.com.


This past thursday night, I saw the new Neil LaBute play Reasons To Be Pretty at the Lucille Lortel Theater in NYC.

I was able to meet two of the show's stars, Alison Pill and Piper Perabo.

I was able to get both of them to sign a playbill, and I was able to get a picture with Piper Perabo. This was a real thrill for me, since I am a huge Coyote Ugly fan. I didn't get a picture with Alison on this occasion because I got a picture with her at her last show, Mauritius.

OMG!!!!! That is so amazing Piper is my favorite actress ever. You lucky little devil. What was sshe like?

She's suprisingly down to earth. She got a huge smile on her face when I told her I waited eight years to meet her, but it was completely the truth. 2000 was the year she was in her first two big movies, and I went to the first day of both.

When I first saw her in Rocky and Bullwinkle, I fell for her. She was just so beautiful and silly as Karen Symapthy.

Coyote Ugly just made me love her even more. I still remember blowing off work to see it the day it came out.

I knew I was going to meet her someday, and I am still thrilled that it finally happened.

Well I will just write you down as the luckiest person an the face of earth. I am so pleased for you. Thanks for letting me know what she is like.

It's wonderful to hear stories like this! {love} I actually wrote to Ms Perabo last week via the 'Reasons to be Pretty' venue so hopefully, even though I can't meet her, she'll be able to reply!

I have two new developments from Reasons To Be Pretty.

During my NYC vacation last week, I was able to meet Pablo Scheriber. In addition to Reasons, he was nominated for a Tony for his role in Awake and Sing two years ago. I got him to sign playbills from both (I will post the Awake and Sing scan soon):






I also have good news for anyone wanting to write the cast. It was announced this week that Reasons To Be Pretty will transfer to Broadway in 2009!

As of today, the entire cast will remain intact. This will be Neil Labute's broadway debut as a playwright and Piper Perabo's Broadway acting Debut!

I will have more details as they become available.

Thats quite true. They will debut in 2009 with the current cast, around Jan 2009 I think (don't quote me on this though). Thats probably why I am not freaking out as much for not getting a reply as of yet. haha

Piper Perabo does deserve this Broadway Debut. She has done an amazing job with the play and hopefully she'll continue it
