Top Girls (Broadway-Marisa Tomei,Martha Plimpton)

My second in person success from my Tonys week Trip comes from the Play Top Girls.

The show features an all female cast, headed by two time Tony nominee Martha Plimpton and Oscar winner Marisa Tomei.

I actually saw the show three weeks before this trip, but failed to meet several of the cast. I was much more successful the second time, including meeting Marisa.

She was absolutely tickled when I told her I have been waiting 20 years to meet her (since a little movie called Playing For Keeps).

I met Martha for the second time, after meeting her during the run of her last show (Cymberline) at Lincoln Center.

I also met cast members Ana Reeder, Elizabeth Marvel, Mary Catherine Garrison, and Jennifer Ikeda (Jennifer I met later in the week).

I never did get to meet the seventh cast member, Mary Beth Hurt. I have sent off an autograph requst to the theater, hoping to get a complete cast signed playbill.

For anyone hoping to write Martha Plimpton, she will be in another Broadway show this fall. She has been cast in the revival of Pal Joey, which will play at Studio 54. This will be her sixth Broadway show in the past two and a half years! I will have further details as soon as I get them.

whoa, I see you have an Opening Night Playbill there. very cool.

Its great you got to meet most of the cast. I did send a request too, but dunno how thats gonna turn out. Hopefully I get something back. Marisa Tomei is pretty cool. She loves to sign for people, so I have heard.

I have a Canadian Playbill signed by the Canadian cast of Top Girls when it originally opened here. Hopefully will get the Broadway cast too!

Nice success again mate. Your on a role with Broadway successes. I can't wait to see who you got at "Reasons to be Pretty". But probably the coolest so far is the "In The Heights" Success
