Gypsy (Broadway & City Center)

The fifth show of my Tonys week trip to NYC was the highly acclaimed revival of Gypsy.
This show featured a rarity, three Tony winning performances. Boyd Gaines and Laura Benanti won in supporting roles. Patti Lupone won for her portrayal of Mama Rose, 29 years after her last Tony win for Evita.
I was able to meet all three of these performers between this run, and the run of Gypsy at City Center last year that led to this production. I also met two other members of the cast, Tony Yazbeck and Leigh Ann Larkin. The picture with Patti comes from her last Broadway show. It was the broadway revival of Sweeney Todd, whose success led to last year's film version.

I have one more show to post my experience from, which is coming up momentarily.
