Last night I got the first few footballers of the coming season-

Shay Given (Newcastle United and Ireland goalkeeper)
Steve Harper (Newcastle United reserve goalkeeper [although pretty much first-choice last season!])
John Beresford (Former Newcastle, Portsmouth, Southampton etc defender)

I got a few signed from Peter Beardsley but they have already been traded- so no scans.

Got them last night IP at St. James' Park, in Newcastle.

Yep, it was at St. James' Park stadium in Newcastle. Luckily there are many charity functions held there each season (Newcastle seem to do an awful lot for charity compared to the other North-East clubs) so there are always ex-players attending various things. I was lucky enough to get Sir Geoff Hurst, Martin Peters, Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Bobby Robson, Alan Shearer, Gary Pallister, Alan Shearer to name a few at charity events.

They even had various music stars such as Westlife and Meatloaf at special charity events organised by Shay Given's cancer foundation.
