CRAZYYYYI ALWAYS use paypal and use it correctly, I marked it as goods! You should never mail cash to someone who you have no way of checking references or feedback for, at least not without acknowledging that you are taking a risk never to see that money again. Be careful giving your address and personal information out, over 90% of identity theft cases start online. Never give out any bank account information or routing numbers, there is no need to buy autographs by wire transfer in 2011. This stuff is just common sense.
The admin should make a thread with basic internet protection practices.
I think this site is a horrible, horrible place for new collectors honestly. You in the mix of scammers, really not that smart people, spammers, and just shit. Im not on here alot anymore but i been a member since 2008 ( on another account). Im telling everyone now this site is going down hill and its not going to get any better. Like i said the head mods or whatever the hell they are calls...hope you dont think your more powerful then any other user here. locking topics deleting a post? Any freaken person who has a brain knows what user is bad or good. This site is a diaster. A hobby should get away from stress but last thing you want to look at is someone yelling or making rude comments constantly at your posts or even seeing it. Because there is no change at all to this site. Look at the mod list and you tell me how many are active and done anything besides lock topics and bann users that come back. I been on this site way longer then you so i know a bit about the admin. 3-4 years he dosent do anything nor does he take control of this site. Dosent look like anybody banns the IP address. Is Zimmy banned? I bet not.. Looks like he scammed a handful of people. Its not a accident. He knew this site would be a easy target to pull because if he scammed someone nothing would happen to him. This site is going downhill faster then ever if there is the same control as there is now. If any of you want this site to last. The rules have to be more strict, if they cant follow the rules then they get a message/warning. They do it again expire there account for a month, third time bann them. So you can't really comment on what we can do because if your not a mod then how do you know what we can and can't do?
As gertyke said, Zimmy had been on this site for nearly a year and had 500+ comments and i even found some good feedback about trades with him, which is why I (along with many others) fell for his scam.Also people should trust more the people that have been on Fanmail.biz longer. Thank you, Sam, for messaging Admin about this. I apperciate it! But I too have my doubts he will do anything, but hey ya never know, maybe he will, seeing as how there are so many people coming forward with stories of Zimmy's scams!!I have PM'd the Admin asking him too do something about him
