Also I'm not saying no one is doing anything about this seller. The many who have filed disputes and posted this whole topic are being awesome and helpful. THATS what needs to be done and it is being done. Now admin needs to block the IP address. Then all routes will be exhausted I think. I know frustration causes people to just want someone to blame but blame the jerk, not the owner of a site. You don't blame eBay if you get lied to, but toucan dispute via the right avenue and win by doing the right thing and reporting fraud and theft.

Deleting this site wouldn't make a lot of sense.. fixing it would, and wouldn't take much effort. I think that's what's frustrating to so many users here.

Putting it on eBay doesn't offer much protection. eBay would only intervene if a selected online payment system was used to purchase an item, and of those, Paypal is the most (and arguably the only) trustworthy one. And if you're going to use Paypal to pay, they have their own dispute console, so why bother with eBay? With no feedback system and moderation on this forum, all you can really do is research the seller beforehand (search the forum and look through the user's previous sales threads), use Paypal properly and send money as a purchase, demand a Delivery Confirmation number and have the seller post it to the transaction so that Paypal themselves can track it.

Banning an IP address doesn't always work. The user may have a dynamic address, or use a proxy, and banning either of those could result in banning countless other people that may use those same addresses.

I agree with you. Other than what has been done by the honest people just wanting to buy, not much else can be done. Fixing it would be great but other than what you said, what else can anyone in charge do? The feedback system exists but i don't know who keeps up with it. I think more moderation is needed and for mods to have more control. What you listed we can do ourselves is what we already should be doing: taking it into our hands and demanding a history and confirmation number.I don't know really much about IP addresses but as far as banning a user i do think that's the best we can really do, honestly. Like you said, you can't ban too much or the honest people will get banned too. Kinda lose-lose, and it'd a flawed system, but it's all we have.

Carly, that's right. It would certainly be nice and helpful to have better protection on this forum in the form of a better feedback system, moderation and banning of trouble users, but ultimately it's still up to us to protect ourselves.

Blackhawk, I'm as glad to hear that you won your case as you are to have won it. Hopefully Gertyke and anyone else Zimmy screwed over will be getting their money back soon as well.

Wow, so far you're like the 5th or 6th person that I know of who tried buying that same card off him Best of luck with the paypal claim against him, be sure to send in screenshots as evidence if he tries lying and blaming you like he did to me.
