Hate to dissapoint ya, but most people who get an autograph keep them for a collection or as a memory. The chances are low someone will give you one. If there's a celeb you really want and can't afford to send an SASE and pics, then just send a regular envelope with a letter. Only one stamp! I get all my successes that way. The fanmail goes to an agent anyway and they are provided with stmps, envelopes, and pictures for mail. There's not a 100% chance you'll get something back this way, but it's better than nothing. Just don't ask people for autographs. It's unlikely they'll give you something. -Megan

This thread is a bit stupid coz even if someone was willing to give you some autographs there's no guarentee you'll be offered any autographs that you actually want!

Autograph collecting is a frustrating hobby because there is no way to hurry up your collection! You just have to be patient and wait for the stars to reply to your letters.
If you're short on cash, save up for a few weeks and then buy some stamps and send off a few requests. By the time you've saved up for more stamps, you should have some replies coming in!

I know one way you can get free autographs - but they aren't original just PP's from Studio Fanmail. Give the celeb your address in their email like Robbie Coltraine (sp) and they'll send you one for free.

I don't understand why some consider preprints autographs at all. If you want preprints I know where you can find tons, my trash can. Good luck on your quest for free autos, I wish I could help you out. The Office rocks.
