I know it's probably a long shot since he's been gone for a while now, but I've been looking everywhere for a Cash autograph. I'm just really skeptical of eBay because of fakes so I'm willing to trade or buy if I can afford it. Doesn't matter if it's a photo or just a piece of paper, I'd just LOVE to have his autograph so PLEASE let me know if you have an extra one you'd part with. Thanks for your time!

I know several places that have authentic ones!! Although their at my local fair office, where I guess he performed years ago so I can't own them. But I'm gonna be getting photos of the signed ones on sunday. Their just hanging from thumbtacks. I would definitely give them a better home for sure.

Thanks for the offer... I collect whatever I can find of his but I'm really on the hunt for an authentic signature right now.. I keep seeing them on eBay but like I've said... the idea of so many fakes make me skeptical... plus I've now seen some that come with the PSA/DNA authentication and the autographs looking NOTHING like any of his signature I've ever seen so I'm almost losing faith in COA's and authentication companies...

COAs are ultimately worth only the opinion of the person(s) making the CoA, whatever the company; when it comes down to it, it's still just a person expressing their opinion. I'm more likely to put stock in other things: photos, accompanying letters (for example, I have an Alan Rickman that comes with three letters from his PA, and I have a signed HP book that comes with a letter from WB and a personal invitiation and ticket to the premiere, stating signing was to be arranged).

Luckily when I started autograph hunting I was taken under someone's wing and I learned really early on to never trust a CoA, no matter where it's from and no matter how much it costs. I learned to trust my own instincts, I learned to research, and I learned how to talk to people and ask the right questions. Building connections and building trust is one of the best ways to get a really good autograph collection.

I think it's also a good rule of thumb to never spend money you can't afford to lose - I don't know a single person who hasn't bought a dud in their time, or made a bad decision/judgement call. It comes with the territory, I think.

Well said... I agree completely. I've also collected autographs for most of my life and over the years, just as you've said.... I started realizing that COA's are useless. Up until recently I held out hope with authentication companies like PSA/DNA because they supposedly inspect the ink flow, pressure points of the signatures and etc. But like you said... it all comes down to one's opinion and again, I've seen some PSA/DNA certified autographs that are nowhere close to a consistent signature of some people. With Johnny Cash for instance, I know you can buy things on his website but they're very expensive and they come with a letter of authentication from someone who worked for and with him for several years...may be my best option but again... I'd still be taking a leap of faith based on someone's opinion because I think this guy goes out and finds signatures he believes to be authentic, looks them over and decides if they're legit or not before reselling them on the site.
