Tom Hanks reply but no success

Hi everyone,

In late March 2014 I sent a photo, letter and SASE to Tom Hanks at the Playtone address. Today, I received my photo and letter back, with a reproduced note stating that he is currently out of the country and "for the remainder of 2014, my time is not my own."

I'm happy they took the time to return my photo. I received a success from him several years ago, so this makes he hopeful that his TTM successes are genuine.

I sent to him early last year and have heard nothing since. I also already got him once but not through that address.

What address did you get his autograph ?

The address I used is no longer valid. I got it sometime last year.

No need to be rude, Daniel. Most likely it was a venue address which is literally no longer valid. I'm sure he wasn't trying to keep anything from you!

I think he just meant that it's just kind of a brag to respond to a failure by saying "I got him from a different address, but you can't, since the address is outdated."

What's the value in that?

It was a venue address which is really no longer valid. All I was saying is that I had a success from him. I wasn't trying to be rude or brag about it. I'm not trying to keep anything from you.
