Brigitte Bardot Success

I sent a letter almost a year ago and never received a response. So I decided to give it another go.

I sent her a letter, SAE, 4 photos and a donation to her animal foundation on January 26, 2015. Got her reply in the mail today.

I hate to say it, and I know I'm being totally selfish, I'm happy I got anything, but I'm kind of disappointed. She didn't reply to my letter (although most won't take the time to write a letter back to you, so that's okay), and of the 4 photos I sent to her, she sent back 3 and only one was signed and it wasn't personalized. It makes me wonder if maybe I said something in my letter to offend her or something, because I see from other people's Bardot successes that she really goes all out for her fans when answering her fanmail.

Just makes me wonder if I did something wrong

I am really glad to have gotten her autograph, though. But still, a little disappointed that she didn't do for me what she's apparently done for the rest of her fans.

Oh well, I love her just the same

Oh my goodness! I didn't know that! And the reply envelope is postmarked 1 month ago and that would certainly explain why she wouldn't be in the mood to answer letters and why she'd want to get fan mail out of her hair as quickly as possible if she was in mourning for her friend. That's very sad, but I am relieved to know that it wasn't wasn't anything I did. Maybe if I wait for some time to pass and write to her again she'll be in better spirits and send a cheerier response.

Did you send the letters yourself or take them to your post office and have them do it? I sent a letter to her almost a year ago and never got a response. So when I sent my second letter I took it to the post office and they had me sign this shipping document that they attached to the envelope which they didn't make me do for the first letter I sent. And that's the one that got to her. So I'm thinking that my first letter probably wound up in the dead letter office because it didn't have that shipping document attached to it like it was supposed to.
