Received a big envelope back from I guess his agency with a form letter, my card unsigned and a signed 8x10 publicity photo. It's definitely written on there as it has texture from the ink pen. Thoughts?

Sadly, it's not real (sorry). 

It's a photo with a stamped autograph, if you send for another you would get the exact same photo and signature.
I don't think he even signs anymore (maybe for charities, or if you meet him in person).

It may look like it's pressed in the photo and it's with a different ink, but it's 100% fake.
It's the same type of photo you woul get from many celebrities who don't want to sign, but wish to not upset their fans.

I was examining it a bit closer and I can actually feel the signature since it looks like paint marker. I know a friend of mine got a publicity photo back a few months ago, but his was a different photo and signed in gold. Just makes it all the more confusing. AP perhaps?

Because of Michael Jordan's popularity, the only way to obtain a real hand-signed autograph is to buy one of his products from the Upper Deck Company. Nowadays, with advanced printing techniques, the signature actually looks real; however, if you look at others who have posted their responses from Michael Jordan, you will see that you have the exact same photo. Even though it is a pre-print, you can still impress your friends by putting it on display at the office.
