No surprise, I've seen other people get responses like this. I swear, he is a true a-hole!! This is about as great as an autograph though. But seriously, this guy is just a terrible, ungrateful person.

But i am a huge hp fan and am working on my hp collection, so a week ago i sent him a LOR, SAE, picture, and 3 british pounds (costs just over 2 pounds to mail it back to me, so i sent him more then enough). I live in the US so i cant get british postage for an SASE. I wrote in my LOR that i was sorry i couldnt provide postage, and how i went to the bank and exchanged american money for british pounds to help make up for it. So im really wondering what I'll get back. Either a rude letter, a signature, a rude letter and signature, or nothing at all. Personally, I'm hoping for a rude letter and signature lol.

Well once the shock of this wears off, enjoy it lol!!

What kind of money did you send? Was it british pounds or some other type of money?

I send about 5 pounds (i think) in Swedish money, and it was more enough for postage

Well that gives me hope atleast, since i sent him actual british currency. But still, he should realize not everyone lives in Great Britian and can't provide british postage. If people just expect him to pay for postage, thats fine if he doesn't wanna return it. But when people atleast make the effort to pay, he should sign and return it, that's the least he could do. He's so ungrateful, rude, ignorant, and just an all around jerk to the people that made him rich and famous

First and foremost, I'm very sorry that you get such kind of response.
I've sent a letter to Mr. Griffiths a couple of months ago and I only enclosed a SAE (no stamps, money or IRC) but I received my photos back signed. Maybe I'm just lucky or he's in the mood during that time.

He is literally just a jerk, definitely not trying to be funny. About 2 years ago I sent him a 2 page letter about how I loved Equus and his performance, 5 bucks American money, and a SAE explaining I did not have means to British postage, which is what I used to do to all HP actors before I met nice people on here to trade with. From others like Robert Hardy and Dave Legeno, I received letters of thanks saying many don't think to include that and how they understood. From Griffiths, who I sent a longer letter to and really respected as an actor, I received my pic back signed but a rude note saying I shouldn't waste my time writing bull**** letters just for a response if I'm not even going to send stamps. Needless to say I pretty much despise him as a person. Still a good actor but as a person he is terrible. Save your money writing to this jerk.

Wow he really is a heartless man. I dont get why the hell he thinks he has the right to say that to ANY of his fans. Honestly, without us, he would just be some overweight, worthless, cranky old man living alone working some average job. The worst part is, he still will use his own money to pay for stamps just to return your items unsigned to rub it in your face...
