Re: James Garner Success
He cant sign no more ive been told by a American Collector friend, you hardly see him now as very ill and wheel-chaired and cant hardly move his Hands so i would guess its 1 of his People signing the autographs on his behalf i Doubt very much he signed it himself as he is 2 Sick.
I also feel you shouldn't write to someone who is frail and very sick asking for Autographs, you should respect their privacy and difficult time they are going threw. The last thing i would want to do if I was that Ill or i was a Family member looking after someone that Ill is to think about Autographs. Nothing wrong writing and sending a Get well Card etc but i just feel he should be left alone as he is VERY ill.

SUGGESTION:
Y not contact his Agent and ask if it be ok to send him a Fan Letter asking for a Autograph First..If they say its fine then its Ok but i would ask First. If you love the Guy and he is your Favorite actor show him some consideration..

Re: James Garner Success
If it was an issue.. He either wouldn't respond or tell me not to write him. Not the case. He responded in under a week. The signatures I received match others I've found online.
Re: James Garner Success
Sorry but in MY opinion he is VERY VERY ill and people shouldn't bother the poor man 4 Autographs. Secretaries are Fantastic at Copying their Clients Signatures also some Clebs ave used Family members 2 sign 4 them and they look identical to a Original autograph. In the 60's when the Beatles were on Tours because of the number of Fans wanting Autographs, Roadies used to take Items in side and say they would get them signed and sign them themselves and they were Identical to how the Beatles would sign so just because your Signature looks like them online don't mean he signed them.
To be honest with how ill he is i doubt he could sign anyway.

Re: James Garner Success
Thanks for your opinion
Re: James Garner Success
The issue is not about the autograph is authentic or matched, or he should just not sign or whatsoever. The issue is you people are bothering a person who is in poor health. Think about your grandparents who may have some kind of health problem that prevents them to do physical activities. And you force them to sit on a table to sign for some some people who call themselves 'fans,' but watched only a couple of his movies.
Re: James Garner Success
Where's the force? I'm sorry, I read through the whole thread a couple of times, but I still can't see the post where the OP talked about breaking into Mr. Garner's house and holding a gun to his head..mannyj wrote:The issue is not about the autograph is authentic or matched, or he should just not sign or whatsoever. Oh, you must have been referring to the no-strings-attached, no force included, polite request that the OP sent that Mr. Garner could've thrown into the garbage can if he felt that he was not in the condition to sign...
I don't understand how it's possible to confuse the two, as they seem quite different to me, but I suppose it's because I'm not that stupid.. It must be nice to not have to worry about intellect.
Re: James Garner Success
I think some of you take collecting autographs too far until you don't care about others anymore.
Re: James Garner Success
Great response! Oh except for that one sentence which didn't actually respond to any logical thought that I posted above.. Oh, wait.. That was the whole thing... Hm..mannyj wrote:I think some of you take collecting autographs too far until you don't care about others anymore.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, it must be nice to not have to worry about intellect.

I don't wanna waste my time with a kid like you. What a childish statement.MW1221 wrote:Great response!
