It's possible the secretary version of the signature made it to the TCM show. Charlton Heston's secretarial signature was used for the facsimile signature on shirts sold by the NRA.

I would trust the professionals over the opinions of people on here...of course we like to ask opinions, but when the PROS say it's legit, I'll rest easier knowing their opinion.

Doris Day has been sending out secretarial signatures for many years now. Don't bother.

As for PSA/DNA, they pass off many fakes as real. Just Google it and you'll find a ton of complaints.
Scroll to the bottom of the page to read the complaints from several people:

Check out pages 31, 46 and 59 of this Autograph Magazine Live signature study on Charlton Heston:

It has several examples of PSA passing SECRETARIAL autographs as authentic. SAD!!!

Why do you keep on doing this, you bloody cheap skate? You should be embarrassed.

Not calling names but I wondered this too. You couldn't have thought a 49 cent stamp would've been enough for an 8x10 envelope? Usps.com helps calculating a price.
I believe shaun is doing this in the hope that the letter will get RTSed to his own address, so it is not technically being delivered. I and others have advised him not to do this, but he doesn't seem to care.

It looks to me like Doris Day and Andy Garcia have the same secretary.

One secretary for multiple people wouldn't be unheard of. The same person was signing for Keifer Sutherland and Paul Newman at one time. Sarah Jessica Parker, husband Matthew Broderick, Malcom Jamal Warner and Rosanna Arquette had the same person signing for them. Al Pacino and Sally Field had the same person signing at one time. Danny DeVito's secretarial was very similar to Tony Danza's and Valerie Bertinelli that I had. I wouldn't be surprised if the same person was signing for all of those names based on the way my name was signed in the personalization and the similar greetings.

There was also a short period of time were secretarials were being sent of Adam West and Frank Gorshin via an agency in California. Based on Frank, while he was alive, and Adam, despite in person demeanor, have usually been good signers ttm I wouldn't be surprised if the fakes were without their permission.

Also, even though they aren't fake autographs, the same secretary has been/or still is employed by Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett in their "not signing" correspondence.

When I first started collecting, the price of a photo sized SASE was 44 cents (two 22 cent stamps).

It has gone up quite a bit and it's something a person sending away for an autograph should know. Sure, Doris Day or her paid assistant can afford a few bucks but if everyone sent a short-postage envelope it would add up.

Regardless of his intentions, any one would realise that a photo that size would not be covered by 49cents to come from the States to the UK. Yes, it's up to him what stamp to put on, but it's shoddy to deliberately under cover the charge. He's lucky he got a response, but it won't work with everyone. As for your final comment, I'll introduce take this chance to find my mate Mr Kettle and tell him I found his long lost friend Mr Pot. I have no idea why you waste your time coming on here, it's not amusing, it's just pretty sad.
