The amateur eye is usually fooled into thinking the TTM secretarials are the real thing. The expert eyes such as myself can spot the differences.

I am NOT a amateur so don't tell people or me that or even assume it or even accuse me of being one because I am not. Looking at it more it looks less and less like his TTM. His TTM looks feminine. Again I had my own opinion earlier but it has changed after looking more at it.

It's not a case necessarily of being a female-like handwriting for the ttm. Bob Newhart has very beautiful handwriting and I know, because I've seen him in-person, that his ttm is the same signature as the IP.

Dick signing above, he is giving a neater signature but it's definitely just a neater form than his IP and both are the same handwriting yet of course, different than the ttm.

What I don't understand is why doesn't he just sign his own mail from his address. It would only take 2 mins of his time each day. At the age he is he surely has not much else in his life too do.

There are too many people on this site that get pleasure out of saying signatures are "secretarial". It's down right pathetic. You have an authentic Dick Van Dyke Success and you should be very excited! Congrats!

CJ posted the authentic signatures. Magic posted the authentic signature.

All the Hi God Bless autographs are secretary. The experienced collectors know. No one will ever be correct in saying the usual ttm signatures are really his. They are not.

The topic will always continue because people want to delude themselves into thinking everything that isn't PP, AP or stamp is definitely signed by the celebrities. Some big time celebrities have been using secretaries for years. It's nothing new. Even in the mid-20th century, baseball teams used ball boy types to sign their autographs.

I don't get pleasure out of telling people their autographs are fake. I hate it. I hate knowing that I got fakes all those years despite all the money and effort I put into it. Sometimes the truth stings.
